mellymell: (homer running)

Last week I ran *drum roll*. . .

NONE! Absolutely zero running done. Not a single day, not a single mile. No running last week what so ever! I'm feeling pretty craptastic right now, too. My body is all out of whack from just one week without running.

So much for that whole wanting to do better in November thing. I haven't run a single day since the calender flipped. Oh well, if I get out and run for the next three days and then consistently run for the rest of the month, I'll still be better off than October.

Well, I'm going to attempt week 8 of the plan again. However, I'm going to change one of the days. Rather than doing run 5 min/walk 30 sec intervals tomorrow, I'm going to do the 1.5 mile run. I think that's a more logical step for me right now between 2x1 mile repeats and a 1.75 mile straight run. If I feel like I'm really dogging it, I'll back off.

Wait, where's my phone? Hmm, maybe I'm not running today if I can't find a stopwatch. Oh well, maybe I'll just run and not worry about the times today. Can the perfectionist/OCD person in me handle logging a workout without times associated with it? We'll see.

I didn't run any last week either! It was only a week off too and I feel the same way you do - all out of whack from just one week without running. I had no idea that would happen!

Today was my first day out and I had to force myself to run. (Not to get out there but to jog instead of walk.) Not only did I force myself, but I could only do 1.5 miles instead of the 2.5 miles I was doing.

I hope you go running even if you can't find your phone. If I had seen my times today I might have ended up by the trail in a fetal position - hee. Sometimes it's just best not to know.

Yeah, mine was almost zero too. But with all the being sick to my stomach and crying I still lost weight. Its the incredible fast acting grief diet.;-)
Heck, I need new pants.

But I'm going to get off my ass next week and run again. I'm sure you will get back into the groove of things too.

I'm with you girl. I have now had a cold for 9 days, and an ingrown toenail for about half of that!

I know it's not true, but I feel like all the progress we made is undone and that I've gained back the little weight I lost.

I'm just not the kind of person who can "run through the illness" and "burn out the virus".

We were just about to start the final week (9). Now I don't know where we are and will be about 3 weeks behind I estimate.

:(
