Bits and pieces

Last night I sat down and made lists. I think I can be certified as the list princess, since J-9 is the undisputed list queen. I'm at the very least a list duchess.
Yes.
Anyway, here's what the next 3-4 weeks of costumed events look like for us (*sigh* costuming for one is so much easier than costuming for three):
Stuff I still need for each costume:
Lord of the Rings costumes: Need by Oct. 24th
Aragorn (not a replica, just passable):
Shirt (making)
Surcoat (making)
Boots or boot fakes (get something I can use for pirate too)
Pants (get something I can use for pirate too)
Frodo (again, not a replica, just passable):
Shirt (thrift store)
Vest (thrift store)
Maybe pants (thrift store)
Maybe jacket (thrift store)
Check jewelry box to see if I still have my dad's old wedding ring and a gold chain
Zombies: Need by Oct. 18th
Old, slightly over-sized suit for Chris (thrift store)
Old, slightly over-sized dress or suit for me (thrift store)
Dress shirt and pants for Jonah (thrift store)
Fake blood and liquid latex (think I have the rest of the makeup)
Pirates: Need by Oct. 24th or 31st
Chris:
Shirt (making, use Aragorn shirt)
Vest (or use surcoat, just maybe leave it open or something)
Pants (whatever I get for Aragorn)
Boots or boot fakes (whatever I get for Aragorn)
Sash for waist and maybe one for head
Pistol and/or Cutlass
Tricorn hat (maybe)
Mel:
Sash for waist and maybe one for head
Pistol and/or Cutlass
Tricorn hat (maybe)
Jonah:
Parrot costume (ordered yesterday, should be here in 7 days or less)
Feathers and fabric glue for added effect
Super Heroes: Need by Nov. 8th
Bat Mel:
Batman logo shirt (check Hot Topic, try to order one if they don't have it)
Black tights or leggings
Black running skirt
Boot fakes (maybe)
Gauntlets (maybe)
Utility belt (maybe)
Robin (for Jonah):
Toddler Robin costume
I guess if Chris decides to go, we could keep with the Batman theme and get him this. Or just piece something together out of street clothes and a cape like I'm doing.
After all that, I think I'm going to sleep until Christmas. Even still, I LOVE Halloween and usually feel like we don't do enough for it. Maybe this year I'm overcompensating for the past few years when we haven't done much.
Yes.

Anyway, here's what the next 3-4 weeks of costumed events look like for us (*sigh* costuming for one is so much easier than costuming for three):
- Oct. 17th or 24th (leaning towards the 24th) - Ghouls at Grassmere (Halloween event at the zoo) - Arwen, Aragorn and Frodo or pirates if Jonah's costume is here in time
- Oct. 18th - I run for the party Halloween costume 5k - Zombies
- Oct. 25th - Tennessee Fellowship October Moot - Arwen, Aragorn and Frodo
- Oct. 26th - Nashville Zombie Walk - Zombies
- Oct. 31st - Halloween - Pirates
- Nov. 8th - Super Hero 5k - Bat Mel, Robin for Jonah and I'm not sure if Chris is going and/or wants to dress up yet

on 2008-10-15 05:41 pm (UTC)yes, you can be my list 1st runner up. In the event that I can't do my "List Queen" duties, you will have to assume them for me. ;)
