Is it June yet?
May. 23rd, 2006 02:59 pmI sit here and stare at my screens blankly thinking, "how do I do my job again?" I'll be glad when that no longer concerns me.
Yesterday after work, Chris and I went home and cleaned out the Trooper so it could be hauled off to Regal Nissan today. That thing was a MESS! We opened the doors and said, "how in the world did we do this?" I think being in the damp garage hasn't helped much either. Since we had to charge the battery anyway, I spent that time cleaning out the Forester. We vowed we'd never allow a car to get that gross again. The wrecker driver who came to pick up the Trooper today seemed interested in the Neon as well. I've got the title now and Chris told him we'd take $500 for it. Apparently he would have taken it right then, but didn't have the cash at the moment. I'll call a few junk yards and see what they'd offer, but I'll gladly just give it to him for $500 and be done with it if he wants it. That would put us down to *gasp* two working vehicles!
So, Sunday night, we weeded out old clothes, towels and blankets. Last night, we cleaned up our cars and today got rid of one of two that need to go before the move. Tonight, I plan to go home and rummage through some things to try to auction off on ebay. Some things that come to mind are duplicate candelabras and pillar holders from the wedding, a spare 3-in-1 printer, a set of 15 (at last count) parfait glasses and a set of 12 glass mugs. To me it seems easier than a yard sale.
We meet with a Realtor on Sunday to look at several houses. I have a list of houses that fit our preferences we need to go through tonight and send her back a list of the ones we're interested in seeing. Lots of great possibilities. Chris is on his way up there now for his interview. Actually should be starting any minute now.
I had absolutely beautiful dreams last night. I almost couldn't sleep because of it. I kept waking up feeling overwhelmingly happy. I can't remember what any of them were about, but I remember lots of bright colors and bright light. I remember flowers and smelling sweet smells. I remember hearing laughter too.
I guess it could have been the lack of oxygen due to a congested respiratory system. Stupid allergies from being in Nashville last week. This might suck. Both times I've gone to Tennessee this spring, I've come back with tough-to-shake allergies. I've never had allergies in my life. I got some generic loratadine (Claritin) to see if that might help. Here's hoping.
