It's like kissing a peanut!
Jan. 26th, 2006 04:15 pmI'm being a post whore today. :]
I almost forgot, here's my half assed draping attempt at a wrap skirt idea while playing with some velvet. . .

Don't ask me how I got that beautiful amethyst color from charcoal grey and black dyes, but I like it. It's not Aragorn Council Velvet material, but it's beautiful for almost anything else. Distinctive Fabrics just lowered their special order quantities to 5 yards, so chances are I'll get the charcoal velvet from them (eventually). This is just a 2 yard piece wrapped around my dress form and I have nearly 3 yards more of it (just under 5 yards total). Of course the design will have seams and be more full (thinking four panels), but I like the drape in front. Maybe sewn down to the knee and worn with knee high boots. I've had my eye on these for a long time, and I'd love a reason to get them.
