Sucks living on the sunrise side of a small mountain in the winter. You lose usable sunlight by 2:30pm or so. So, I didn't get out in decent sunlight. But by the time I did get out, Mogwai, our cat, came running up to the front door and we quickly realized he had a mole in his mouth. We wouldn't let him in the front door (we were standing outside on the front step), so what did he do? Jumped to the deck and before Chris could get inside and shut the dog door, ran in the house with a live mole in his mouth. *sigh* 30 minutes later, between Mogwai and myself, we got it corralled into a dust pan and I tossed it outside.

So, I got all of like 5 blurry pics of me in my costume. We'll try again tomorrow, but in the meantime, here are the pics for what they're worth.

Cats!

Gotta love 'em...
You look lovely! Wonderful dream gown! Reminds me, I need to get back on my Greek stuff... ;) I hope you are able to get out earlier tomorrow! I've been contemplating when to ask my family here if they'd be willing to "shoot" me... heehe!
Happy New Year! :)

thanks Yvette! Well, with your Greek stuff, it would be a quick project you could throw in I'm sure. With as fast as you are with even complex pieces like the Green Gown, I'm sure you could throw together a chiton in no time!

Happy New Year to you too!

thanks! those are even the most blurry ones! Chris was standing on the steps near the front door and I was on the back porch. It was a gorgeous day yesterday, but I was being too lazy to put on makeup, style a wig and get dressed, so no new pics yet.

Ooh! Looks great. I think your color turned out lovely!

I need to find a friend to take some nice outdoor pics in my Eowyn gown...but my hubby always gets irritated doing stuff like that, and anyway there is only dirty snow outside right now.

Thanks! I was really happy with the way that dyeing project came out. It's what made me think I could dye everything from now on, heh. I should spend some time this month playing with that velvet for Chris' Aragorn costume to see if I can get it grey. . .

At least my cat has never brought anything LIVE into the house. Ick. :P
Despite the madness, the gown looks quite lovely. You did a great job on the dying, BTW.

this is the second time he's done that, though it makes me wonder how many of the dead things we find were live when they entered the house.

thanks!
