This is what happens when you don't have cable for like 5+ years.

You say that like it's a bad thing. I'm quite content to watch any new shows that might interest me for free on Hulu. Screw cable.

Oh, I don't think it's a bad thing at all and I love me some Hulu and also the streaming service on Netflix. Chris just got cable this week actually and I asked him last night when we can get it shut off. ;)

I wouldn't have cable if we had to pay for it... but it's always free wherever we go.

I spend most of my days watching cartoons, though. I don't watch any adult shows anymore.

I had to buy Spongebob on DVD b/c she asks for it a lot. It's not always on TV :/

Well, we've had satellite off and on during that time that we *ahem* didn't pay for. But, it was a constant thing of Chris having to fiddle with it to keep it working, so he got sick of it. Even then, we had it run through TV tuner cards and only watched what we recorded and could fast forward through commercials.

I also watch mostly animated stuff, but most of it is adult animated stuff. I have broken my streak to make an exception for The Office. It's really funny to me. Also I really miss The Daily Show and Colbert Report.

Yeah... I would get sick of fiddling with it too. I miss recording shows... I hate commercials.

I still watch Family Guy and Simpsons on occasion, but it's mostly kid stuff now.

I haven't watched the UK version of The Office, but I'm not sure if I like the US version. I never watched Colbert Report, but I did love The Daily Show.

We really only have it as it's very low cost and lets us access news in case of dangerous weather (i.e. tornadoes) or the Olympics (about the only time it's regularly used for broadcast TV). I think the last time I regularly watched TV was... 1992?

The last time we had scary weather roll through, I streamed it online. ;) Admittedly, we have been carrying the very basic of the basic packages just because it was cheaper to do that than to have broadband by itself. Chris just got an HD package hooked up this week and we're already wondering why we got it. It's at one of those ultra low introductory rates, so I'm guessing once that's over, we'll probably shut it off again.

Yeah, that's the kind we have. And at work I stream it, but sometimes when at home I'll use the live broadcast. In part due to the news channel stream sometimes being funky and a pain.
