Curses! Foiled again!

Chris took off this morning for work and neither of us thought about the fact that the only car seat was in his car. Jonah was especially disappointed since I didn't discover this until I went to take him to preschool and the car seat was no where to be found. He was so excited and pitched a mild fit when he found out we weren't going. But I assured him I'd try to make today as fun as school, though admittedly I think he appreciates the interaction with his peers more than I realize. He didn't want to take his shoes off even after he knew we weren't going anywhere.

As a disappointment to me, there were a ton of errands I was supposed to run today that won't happen, or at least not until Chris comes home later. He's decided to go to the eye doctor, so he'll be home early from work at least. Guess I'll spend today cleaning and getting things ready in anticipation for a freeze tonight. Perhaps I can get someone out here to at least take a look at our upstairs furnace, if not fix it.

The stroller is also in Chris' car. I guess it's a good thing I was planning for today to be a running rest day.

Oh, having to think of things in advance... It is so hard! :) 1/2 joke, 1/2 serious. or maybe more 3/4 1/4? I dunno!

sorry your plans were foiled again. that isn't smurfing fair!

You should have seen the super organized lists I was making last night to make sure I got all my stuff done today/this week! Unfortunately, I left it up to my non-caffeinated brain to try to remember the car seat this morning.

He came home at lunch time and is going to run at least one of my errands and when he gets back, I can go vote, which really was the one I needed to do without Jonah in tow. Just sucks that Jonah had to miss school.

Hasn't been a total loss of a day at least.

My husband has done that quite a few times. I've had to take Isa home without a seat once or twice because he was three hours north of home or in another state before he realized he had the seat. Sucks.

I seriously contemplated taking him up there without a seat and then getting Chris to come home before 3pm and/or pick him up from school. Once we get to boosters, we're totally getting one for each car! The car seats are just a little too expensive to rationalize getting two.

Bummer. Sorry you have been foiled by the carseat. :-(

Good thing you were planning a non running day though.

It's mostly working out ok. Chris is running my #1 important errand for the day right now and I'll get to go vote (which was the #2 important errand) when he gets back.

man, that stinks. I'm sorry

Eh, it's mostly working out. This morning was very frustrating for about a half hour though as I figured out how to detour my day and still be productive.
