Feeling determined, I pulled out my sewing stuff yesterday (instead of doing all the things I really should be doing) and finished hemming one whole drapery panel. I even revisited the rolled hem foot I've been intimidated by for so long. It's a little messy, but it's the bottom of the panel and will be pooled on the floor, so not really an issue. And if it really bugs me, or starts to ravel as I wash it, I can always cut it off and try again (I've got plenty of room to work with). I got the rod pocket sewn too, which was really easy. I was going to try to do another panel today, but during Jonah's nap, I got sucked in watching The Departed instead. Good movie by the way. Chris is staying home tomorrow to get ready for a brew day we're hosting on Saturday. Something like 3 or 4 other homebrewers, maybe more, are coming over to our house with their systems to brew some beer. I know it'll only take a couple of hours to get this house spotless, so I might be able to squeeze in some time tomorrow.
