May. 26th, 2006 01:37 pmChris got the offer from Vandy today. He'll start the last week of June I believe. Since we've worked out when his benefits will take over, my last day at BSI will be June 9th, the same as Chris' last day at Sparta. WOO-HOO!!
I've got a lot to do in the next two weeks to be sure they don't flip out on me at the last minute. I'm already starting to see a little panic in Harry's eyes (he just took over conversions as JGordon decided he couldn't handle it anymore, I have to say, it's not a job for the unorganized, and JGordon is certainly that). He just printed out everything in Supporthound (87 cases, and only a few of those are from Memphis' 152 that are coming in) and came to me with them saying, "how do I know anything about these?" Well, truth be told, for the little bit I've been back since the wedding, and as much as Kim and Suzanne have done and not told me about, I'm a little confused about over half the cases that are there myself. It'll work out though, and if it doesn't, oh well, not my problem anymore (at least in two weeks it's not anyway). I'll do what I can, but I've been telling them for years they needed more people than just me that knew what the hell was going on here. Considering the limited training I got from Sandy when she left, they shouldn't expect much. They tied their own noose in this one.
The doctor told me today that we have the healthiest family history she's ever seen. Nothing abnormal, just a little arthritis in the older members of the family and a stroke (my grandmother on my dad's side). That's reassuring. We've been blessed, that's for sure. I seem to be perfectly healthy as well, though over weight and a little insect bitten.
