Heh, we got a beer glass that has that quote on it and has a picture of Homer standing there in a towel on the phone.

Still steadily working on embroidery. I feel like I'm getting no where, but I'm making decent progress. Detail work is funny like that. Last night got a scroll done in the beads and outlined it with the silver thread in chain stitching. I really like how it's looking. I think I might omit the smaller leaf shapes and do a bud or flower of some sort instead. Maybe even just a pressed glass flower bead, or a cluster of them even. That's a good way I could add some color without a lot of extra work or adjusting the design too much. Four more scrolls to do, then five leaves and I'll be done with that armband and ready to start the second one. The embroidery is giving me something to alternate with the beading so neither seems as tedious. Really nothing significant to take pics of yet though. And that's what I've been working on most of the week, so no new progress on the gown itself. I might try to do some on it tonight before I sit down to embroidery.
