I caught the bug
Mar. 2nd, 2005 02:14 pmFriday night, Brandy and Christina were talking about spring cleaning. Apparently, Saturday demanded that I start chronically cleaning as well. I haven't really stopped yet. Though admittedly, I've been focused on 3 rooms (kitchen, living room and office, the 3 places I spend the most time) and I've been avoiding tasks I specifically hate to do (like floors). But I can't seem to sit still without thinking, "this needs to be done, so does this and this and this". The longer I sit, the longer the list grows. It's been refreshing to be so active though (even if it's within my house).
Stayed home Monday and yesterday. I had this really strange bug where I'd get a wicked headache, fever and my eyes will start to burn and water and that lasts for about an hour, then goes away. No other symptoms. In fact, I'm having one of those spells right now. Perhaps I should have stayed home again? But I don't really feel sick, so I feel like I shouldn't be home. Strange.
Maybe the chronic cleaning has something to do with it.
I got my new drum. It's quite lovely. Has a much better sound than my old one. I would imagine she adjusted the head on it before sending it along. The batik work on it is really nice, especially for just her second shot at it.
Hmm, what else? Oh yeah, bought my domains. Screwed up and went to the wrong site and got melmoore.com, but the best I can do is forward it to another host (blah). So, went to the site I meant to go to and bought melmoore.net. So now I have them both for a year. Will probably use .com as a redirect. Don't want them for more than a year because I'll be changing my name sometime in the near future. Right now all that's up there is a page Chris made with a picture of me and the title says "No I'm not the porn star". Apparently, I share a name with one (hence why I couldn't get melaniemoore.com or .net, one is the porn star's site, the other some lady that sells hair thingys).
So that's about it, chronic cleaning, strange "sickness", new drum and new website (soon).
I should have stayed home another day.
Oh yeah, and Lane, next time you make lasagna, try not cooking the noodles. Just make your sauce a little thinner and layer everything with the dry noodles. Cook it a little longer than normal, covered really well. Cuts down on a lot of prep work. Just make sure you use plenty of sauce. We added some extra water, but in the end, had to cook some of it off, so it wasn't really necessary.
