We had a loverly Thanksgiving with [livejournal.com profile] branflake and [livejournal.com profile] baka_san. I didn't go into labor. We had a wonderful meal! And pretty much sat around the table for several hours chatting and drinking beer after beer after beer after beer . . . (well, all but me anyway). I hope neither of our families are hurt by the fact that we didn't want to spend the holiday with them, especially since all was well after all. We just didn't want a house full of people should I happen to go into labor. I hope they understand.

Yesterday we all went down to Fido for brunch and visited a few of the shops in Hillsboro Village while we were out. There's a jewelry store I've been wanting to go into down there for a while but never did. So, we went in yesterday and I have to say, I could easily see some of my work fitting in there (price range and style wise). I think I may put together a few pieces and a portfolio of past work to take down there and talk to them about wholesale or consignment, or whatever they do. In fact, I had a good idea for a watch with one of the leftover faces I have on hand that I'd like to throw together, maybe even today. Sure would feel good to pull my jewelry making stuff out again.

Other than that, on Brandy and Chris' strict orders, I suppose I'll pack a bag for the hospital today so that's done. We got the baby's bedding set yesterday not long after Brandy and Doug left. It's really cute and Mogwai seems to approve of it. I talked to my oldest brother, Mike, the other night and they said they didn't get their crib from dad until they were in the hospital, so I'm not expecting ours any sooner. I did at least talk to dad the other night and know for sure now it's underway. Today we got the fabric for the rocking chair and vanity seat in, so I'll get that washed so it's ready to hand over to my mother-in-law. In that same order was a yard of celestial print microfleece that I plan on just finishing the edges for a blanket. Brandy is also making a beautiful quilt for baby!

I guess that's all for now. Just playing the waiting game. Hope everyone had a good holiday!

thanks! due date is tomorrow, but really, other than a couple of Braxton-Hicks contractions, I've shown no early signs of labor yet. it's either going to hit all at once or it's just taking its sweet time.
