Have two more florists to meet with today and tomorrow, then I'll make my final decision once I get all the quotes in.
Ran around town to all the Dollar Trees last week, buying them out of little amber colored glass votive holders (2/$1!).
Picked up 60 three inch terra cotta pots and still have several larger one (like 8") to get. Those were uber cheap too ($.38 each at Michael's). Now to find plants to fill them with. I'm hoping to hold out for the guy on the Parkway, because I know I can get nice flats there for $5 each (and he usually does a buy 2 get one free or buy 3 get one free kind of deal). Also, he usually has really nice ferns and petunias in hanging baskets that I'd like to get a bunch of (again, $5 and usually the same deal as the flats). All that is way cheaper than paying a florist to do it and the flowers won't be dead the next day. I'm not 100% positive, but I'm pretty sure it's cheaper than using silk flowers, too.
That's pretty much our decor though, candles and potted plants. Tomorrow evening, I'm going to Trees and Trends to check out their wrought iron stuff. Apparently they have a lot and it's supposedly cheaper than Pier 1. If not, the stuff I wanted at Pier 1 is pretty cheap, too. Just wanted to make sure I shopped around. Big Lots has some neat stuff too, but not going for any of it.
Rentals are taken care of.
I'm still negotiating with the band, but at least that's looking a little better now.
Still need to meet with Lori about photography.
Dress is progressing after a hiatus and almost giving up completely. Inspiration struck to keep working on it when I tried shopping for gowns. You can't find a freakin' wedding gown with sleeves that's not custom made and therefore $1000+. Everything is stupid sleeveless, same lines on every freakin' dress. Same exact bodice with different embellishments and mostly the same skirt. Stupid! A-line and sleeveless, that's it. Have some freakin originality! But yeah, I made REALLY good progress on mine yesterday so screw them anyway.
The guys' vests are done, we just need to order shirts.
