As of last night, Christmas is over. We had Moore family Christmas last night, making it the last.

Nearly a week ago now, we spent Christmas Eve at [livejournal.com profile] branflake's parents' house, a yearly tradition. Much seafood was had by all. Everything was sooooo delicious! And the house was gorgeous as always. Unfortunately, I ran off leaving my gift behind. Not like I'm never going to see her again. ;] [livejournal.com profile] branflake, you still have another gift coming that I forgot to give to you. I've been staring at it on my coffee table for a year, so it just slipped my mind. It's getting kind of full, heh.

Sunday morning, we woke up and had Christmas together and with our kids (the dogs, cat and fishes). The dogs got new METAL bowls with a rubber rim along the bottom so Sunflower can't even so much as pick it up, let alone chew on it. They also each got a stocking full of treats (focusing on treats Sunflower could chew on for a while to get this chewing phase out of her system hopefully). Jimi is relatively uninterested in anything food related lately, so I'm not sure how much he liked his gifts. Mogwai got a small package of rattling mice (we call them "soundy" mice, just a word I made up on a whim one day that seems to have stuck), a container of catnip and eventually, he'll get that extra package of crab we had left over from the crab cakes we took to Christmas Eve dinner. The fish got some blood worms, as if we could leave them out. I had ordered Chris' gift on Friday so that he wouldn't notice the charge and guess what he was getting. Unfortunately, his parents got him the same thing, so I wound up canceling my order and he still doesn't have a gift. :[ Chris gave me a 4GB iPod Nano. I love it! It's amazing!

After our Christmas, we went to Chris' parents' house for Christmas with his family. As mentioned, his parents had the same idea and got him the Axiom speakers I wanted to get for him, among other things. They gave me a bunch of jewelry making tools and storage containers for them that were much needed. I have a really nice set of pliers now that don't kill my hands! Funny, we gave his brother an Amazon gift certificate and that's the same thing he gave me. We had a lovely lunch with some of their friends from church and then headed home since I had to leave early in the morning on Monday.

Monday and Tuesday, I was being a geek in Indy. Wednesday was a normal day.

Then last night, we had Christmas with my family. I really enjoyed spending time with everyone! Matthew (my nephew) is getting so big! He and Zach seemed to really have fun playing together. [livejournal.com profile] jamos_fire gave us some great Simpsons beer glasses! Mike and Amy gave us some Fiestaware (our only pieces this year, kind of surprising). And everyone got framed pictures from our trip out west this summer and watches that I made. I wish I had made time to get pictures of the rest of the watches though. I've only got pics of 5 of 11 that were made. Oh well. Up until now I was doing a good job of making sure I got pics of all the pieces I've made. At least they all got names.

So yeah, I think I'm too tired to do anything for NYE now, but we'll see. Christmas felt so rushed this year, almost thrown together. We've vowed to start earlier and take time to enjoy it next year.

Have a fun and safe trip to ATL [livejournal.com profile] jamos_fire!
