***Ground rules: The first player of this "game" starts with the topic "Five Weird Habits of Yourself" and the people who get tagged need to then write a LJ entry about their five quirky little habits as well as state the rules of this game clearly. In the end, you need to list the next five people who you want to tag.***

I'm sure there are stranger things I do that I'm either not aware of or not aware that they're strange, but. . .

1. I've bought books I have no intention of reading and/or have read before (perhaps a borrowed copy) and don't intend to read the edition I bought. I just like books as physical objects, I guess.

2. I carry on one-sided conversations with my dogs, and to a lesser extent the cat, as if they are humans and understand every word I say. The thought rarely crosses my mind that they might only recognize 1 or 2 words out of the entire conversation. Most prevalent is when I'm punishing them for being bad and I'm trying to reason with them as to why they're in trouble.

3. I completely and totally despise socks and it's why I refused to wear anything but sandals for quite a while. If I'm not wearing shoes, I CAN NOT wear socks. It irritates the piss out of me.

4. I find it hard to be productive in a dimly lit room unless I'm working on a computer (either at home or at work). In which case, I'd much rather darkness with exception to the monitor and perhaps a very low wattage lamp. But if I'm cleaning or something, I turn on every light in the house. Conversely, I find it hard to sleep in a pitch dark room and feel much more relaxed with a bit of dim light.

5. For some reason I've developed an anxiety over using a phone. I'd rather email someone than call them and I put off making absolutely necessary phone calls as much as possible.
