Mogwai killed the mother of all moles today. I'm proud of him for that, as it won't be giving birth to more come spring, hence fewer, if any holes in the yard (other than the ones Mogwai has taken to digging himself now). HOWEVER, he felt the need to drag it into the house and leave it on the kitchen floor. While I understand it's a gesture of love from him, a gift so to speak, I don't appreciate seeing the largest mole I've ever seen in my life dead on it's back on my kitchen floor when I come home. The rest have been about the size of those small cat toy mice that are covered in fur (like the box of 60 of them we got him for Christmas last year). This one was more like the size of a large chipmunk and I'm honestly surprised he could drag it up the little cat walk and get in the house with it (especially as timid as he is with the dog door).

Meanwhile, Sunflower has gotten into this phase where she likes to drag things out to the deck to chew up. She got in big trouble when she found some wool hiking socks last week. So now, I think she's laying off the socks (or we did a good job of keeping them out of her reach, one of the two) but today it was a plastic hanger and her bowl (to chew some more chunks off of it I guess).

I think they all just want more attention. We've been paying more attention to ourselves and our hobbies as of late and they aren't getting as much attention as they were. Spoiled brats, all of them. ;]

Off to dye tons of silk velvet. . .
