mellymellI had that stuck in my head all day Saturday while we were hiking. Seven miles and it just kept playing in my head. Our friend Doug later said he had "My fat baby loves to eat" from the Family Guy episode To Live and Die in Dixie. Didn't throw my back out this time, but I am rather sore and picked up a slight cold from camping in sub-freezing temperatures. Won't do that again! We were standing around a campfire Friday night eating fire grilled salmon fillets and it started to snow. But anyway, I'll write all about our trip in the journal that's intended for. . .
The first thing I wanted to check this morning was if I heard back from Elnara, the lady making my headpiece. Sure enough, she had these pictures to share. . .

I'm so excited! It looks perfect! She's going to proceed with the beaded parts using the large amethyst bead in the center, the peridot bicones in either side in the two larger curls in front, the beaded wires will be mostly clear, iridescent beads with the amber ones on the ends. And, when I get it, I'm adding drippy beaded strands to it a la Arwen's Coronation crown. Speaking of, I should go ahead and order those beads and the wire for the amethyst points and get started on my necklace and wrapping those points so they'll be ready. I've got some beads to order for the wedding gown trim as well. Since I'm working from home today, I'll take a couple of breaks to work on the belt I think. :]
