I've been double tagged by [livejournal.com profile] oropher_777 and [livejournal.com profile] witchcat07, so I'm totally cheating and only doing this once. Also, I'm pretty sure you guys would rather read this than another whiny tirade (btw, I'm much better today emotionally. Still feeling physically drained at times, but overall better. Saw the sun. Think I might have seen 40 degrees.).

A. List seven habits/quirks/facts about yourself.
B. Tag seven people to do the same.
C. Do not tag the person who tagged you or say that you tag "whoever wants to do it."
[curses, foiled again!]

1. I taught myself to breathe fire but only did it on one occasion: July 4th *thinks* must have been about 1996 because I was about 15 at the time. I watched some amateur jugglers do it at City Stages in Birmingham that year and took it upon myself, since it looked pretty easy (and is, actually). I did not hurt myself, but Zippo lighter fluid tastes disgusting and lingers. I've heard lamp oil is much better, but I've never given it another shot. I think I'm afraid I had beginner's luck and I might hurt myself if I tried again.

ETA: As [livejournal.com profile] branflake observed, it was actually 1997 and I was 16. Now I remember, that was the year the creepy 27-year-old metal head who used to hit on me (at 16!!!) moved in across the street. *shudder* As I recall, it was the fire breathing going on in the street that first made him approach me. D'OH! Maybe that's why I never did it again.

2. I used to clean my room with roller blades on.

3. I have vivid memories of being in my crib. Like insisting I sleep in it backwards, head on my stuffed animals, feet on my pillow.

4. I have so many post-apocalyptic dreams, I don't even consider them nightmares anymore. They've just become a part of my nighttime subconscious landscape. If I had to guess, I'd say I have them about 3 times a week. In fact, my interest in bow hunting spawns from these dreams. This is probably why I wake up exhausted most mornings.

5. Still in the realm of the last two, I habitually slept backwards in my bed as a child. My reasoning in later years was that if a monster/axe murderer/Freddy Krueger was going to come kill me, they'd hit me in the feet instead of an instantly fatal blow to the head, giving me a sporting chance to get away.

6. I'm pretty compulsive about how I load the dishwasher. If I come along and it's half loaded, I have a tendency to rearrange everything before finishing loading it. I mean, I don't feel my way is any better than anyone else's. But if I have to add to it, I feel completely unable to unless things are where I normally put them.

7. I'm also compulsive about pens and notepads. I like gel pens and the types I like (I think they're Pilots) now have half sized versions which I love and are my new favorites. I guard them like treasure. I like journal size or smaller notebooks, almost always spiral bound, but it sort of depends on their purpose. If I want spiral bound, I want multi-subject and I want the dividers to have pockets. See? Compulsive.

And there you go, fascinating, right? Yeah, I thought not.

Tag, you're it: [livejournal.com profile] branflake, [livejournal.com profile] belluthien, [livejournal.com profile] padawansguide, [livejournal.com profile] lordofhaladin, [livejournal.com profile] amaz0n_princess, [livejournal.com profile] saraphina_marie, [livejournal.com profile] beenabutterfly

But really, no one feel obligated. I'm just following orders.
