Actually, its very easy to be green. If you set out from the forefront to be green, are informed, and conscious of what decisions you are making. I couldn't find on our brochure holder a list of about 10 or more non-toxic, household cleaners/remedies of the kind you mentioned... but we had it at one time. Likely there is a copy hidden somewhere... just got to dig it out.
We still get the plastic bags from shopping centers, but we reuse them quite a bit for when we clean the litter boxes. With planning out of meals and it just being the two of us, we bring in just about enough shopping bags that we would use within the week so we don't build up as big a mass of them as there could be.
