We got up and got in touch with Brandy in time to get some lunch at the 21st Amendment Brewpub. The food was fantastic, but the beers were just good, not great. They were out of their signature Watermelon Wheat, which was disappointing. I had some fish tacos that were outstanding! When we were done eating, we hopped in Mike's car and went over to the island to figure out what to do next.

Mike had to study to start his job serving at the Bubba Gump Shrimp Company the next day. So, Brandy, Jonah, Chris and I went to a hands-on Children's Museum in Berkley. It wasn't very big, but they had lots of neat fun stuff for kids to do. Jonah seemed to love it. He played with the other kids very well. He would give other kids toys before he would get one for himself. He loved the water section and really made a mess of himself. He also loved the rocket section they had built out of old electronics, joysticks and keyboards. Anything with buttons will entertain him for sure. He also seemed to really enjoy the grocery section with little carts he could push around and plastic foods.

From there we went to grab a cup of coffee at a nearby Peet's and head back to Brandy's place. There was a beer store Chris wanted to hit up and Brandy and Mike needed to run a couple of errands as well, so we hopped on a bus and headed back into town to split in our own directions for a couple of hours before dinner. The beer store looked too much like a bar, so with Jonah in tow, we decided not to go in. Instead, we just went ahead and worked our way towards the restaurant. It took us quite a while though. It seemed every bus we got on was stopping it's run short. I guess it was shift change or something.

We finally got to the restaurant and got on the waiting list. We waited quite a while and Jonah was getting antsy as his bedtime came and went. I kept him busy with goldfish until Brandy and Mike arrived. The food was fantastic and they had a decent beer selection. I had a Delerium Tremens with my dinner of perfectly cooked lamb with goat cheese topped roasted eggplant. As soon as we finished eating, we walked to the nearest Bart station and hopped on the train after saying our farewells to Brandy and Mike.

The next morning, we got up to make our flights back home. Again, SFO was a mad house, but we made it through ok and again, got pushed through security in a reasonable amount of time (comparatively) since we had a stroller. The flight from San Francisco to St. Louis seemed exceptionally long. But it was nice to finish off the day with a short 40 minute flight from St. Louis to Nashville. Even if it was on a plane with only three rows of seats across.

Steffany of course got lost on the way to the airport to pick us up, but she didn't wind up being too late. Luckily she thought to pick up some Calypso Cafe that afternoon so we had something to eat when we got home. The next day we spent just kind of bumming around the house and at the pool. It was a fantastic trip, but after 11 days out in my case and 13 days out for Chris, we were all ready to be home. I could tell Jonah was especially happy to be back in his own environment.
