Jun. 23rd, 2007 05:17 pmWe went down to Riverfront Park this afternoon, along with several thousand others lining the river banks, to watch a handful of the crazy people willing to run their homemade, man-powered "aircrafts" (and I use the term lightly) off a 30 foot platform into the Cumberland. The Red Bull Flugtag was quite comical to watch. Although after seeing a few flyers, it got pretty repetitive. The team would came out, was introduced, did a little dance to a song in the theme of their flyer and then ran off the platform, most of the runners jumping off after the craft.
It was insanely hot, too. Having the little one, we cut it to just an hour or so. But our timing was such that we got to see the Eagle One: The Colbert Flyer. I fully expect to see a "Look Who's Honoring Me Now" segment on Monday's show.
Before heading down there, we stopped off at Hot Diggity Dogs for the best hotdog I've ever had! Good fries too. Doesn't sound like much, but it really was awesome.
