Retailers are not being my friends right now

I've been watching this wig on ebay for months now, and today, was going to buy it, and now it's gone, I can't find it anywhere, not even in completed auctions. I've emailed the seller asking about another item that's the same style but wrong color to see if she had anymore of those in dark brown. Several months back, she said she always has that style and color in stock, so hopefully she does and can list a buy it now for me. My short blonde/light brown hair just isn't going to cut it for Arwen. I can probably find another one somewhere, but she had good prices and I know the wigs (even synthetics) are nice, unlike a lot of the very plastic looking ones I see.

Ordered the SyFabrics velvet last night as soon as I got home. I didn't see any shipping options, so I'm hoping I can get it quickly. The swatches came in two days, but I have no way of knowing how they're sending this order.

I used up the entire 3oz. bottle of stop flow last night, and only have about a third of the fabric coated. Guess I'm ordering a couple more bottles of it today. There's another $20 to my budget (mental note, find better solution for next time). I started to work on some of the painting last night. Finished 4 little paisleys in gold, not much, and I need to get faster. I figured out, it was the paint that said let dry 24 hours, the stop flow dries in 30 minutes. I'm almost feeling like I should have gotten an antique gold, but it'll be fine I guess.

I was going to dye the midnight blue habotai last night, but at 9pm, didn't feel like getting into it, not being completely sure how long it would take. I'll do that as soon as I get home tonight.

I'm inching along through my to-do list. Chris is giving me guilt trips about all the things we can't do this weekend because I'm having to work on costumes (Brewgrass festival in Asheville, camping anywhere, 2 night stand of String Cheese Incident in Atlanta, etc.). But, no way am I feeling guilty. He's done the same thing to me when he put off school projects until the last minute and had to spend all of an eventful weekend at home. I told him he could go do whatever he wanted, I'd fit him before he leaves, but he won't go without me. So, it's not my fault, he's got the opportunity.

Truckin' along on costumes. I've got one more thing to order (waiting on a swatch before doing so) and expect to have everything next week to throw it all together. Ha! I wish it were that easy. Not expecting to get much sleep for the next 7 days. I'm ok with that, though.

Other than that, really not a lot going on in my meager little life right now. I've been so inwardly focused for a long time, I'm not even sure what I used to do with my spare time. I'm ready to not have any projects to work on for a little while. After Halloween, I plan on hitting the wedding gown stuff. But I can take a lot more time with that. Suppose I should resume planning the wedding, too.

K, I'll ask again, what's everyone doing on the 29th? I'm thinking of heading downtown, doing the block party thing and maybe see what's going on at any bars down there. OTB's pumpkin ale should be hitting taps soon, if it hasn't already.

God I hope it's not burning hot that night. By the same token, I hope it's not freezing cold. I don't have time to make cloaks. branflake, who do we bribe to get weather like last Saturday?

What is this a silk velvet shortage??

Turns out I got the last of the SyFabrics velvet and it's in three pieces (6yds, 2yds and 7.5yds). They said they'd send the 15.5 they have at no extra charge, and that is nice. Luckily, this will work just fine for me. Probably make it easier to handle actually. Gave me the opportunity to ask when and how it will ship. This afternoon and USPS Priority. That means I'll probably get it on Monday, Tuesday at the very latest. Time to rework my to-do list to accommodate that.
