This is neat

I wanted to share it with anyone who might consider it. I think Chris and I are going to sign up.
I heard about it through The Motet. They've signed up as an organization and will playing all of their shows indefinitely using wind power (or more so, making sure the power they use for the show is replaced with wind power). They started their environmental crusade with bio-diesel and have now been touring using the renewable, non-petroleum based fuel for about 3 years.
I just figured for, at most, $15/month, it was worth it to put more renewable energy on the grid. And apparently (as you'll read in the information on the site), there is enough wind energy potential in North Dakota, Kansas and Texas alone to supply the entire US. There ya go, make those flat states useful damn it!
I mean, when was the last time you heard of someone invading another country for their wind? (though granted, most of our electricity comes from coal, not oil)
